About

In September of 2012 the Amherst Corner was opened, primarily to retail portable storage buildings. We rented the empty restaurant adjacent to the Exon Station for the parking lot, to place our storage buildings! We immediately had “locals” stopping in, asking if we were selling ice–cream again! In discussing it as a family and asking the Lord for wisdom, we felt the Lord opening the opportunity to “open The Ice–cream Parlor“. We sold our first cone of Hershey’s hand dipped ice–cream, April 8th, 2013, to Diane Horner! 

We continued adding food items and in 2017 purchased the property across the street, opening our current location in February of 2018. We also changed our name to The Amherst Corner Restaurant since we were no longer involved in storage buildings, and we have become much more than just ice–cream! Our goal is to stay in tune with our expanding customer base as we continue to grow and learn together.

Our Menu

The Ice–Cream Parlor opened with 32 flavors of Hershey Ice–Cream, added hotdogs, BBQ, Burgers and eventually the deep fryers and plate lunches which brings us to where we are today…. with our 28 flavors of Hershey, Soft Serve, and the full menu we now offer for dine–in and to–go.

God has poured his grace and mercy into our lives as we have struggled through the start up pains, the years of 2020 and following and brought us to a thriving business with a strong team of employees and an incredible loyal customer base! We are grateful to be able to serve our God through serving our employees and customers alike. May Jesus be lifted up and glorified as we continue moving forward.
